1. CALL TO ORDER:
County Commissioner Doug Coward called the meeting to order
at 12:34 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL:
Jennifer Garrity called roll.
3. SELF INTRODUCTION OF GUESTS:
Attending guests identified themselves.
4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The minutes from November 17, 2009 were approved unanimously.
5. FINANCIAL
Ms. Charlotte Lombard gave a brief revenue report. Revenue is down 23% from last
October of 2008. St. Lucie County collected $102,493 in October 2009.
Ms. Lombard went over the budget carry forward. The amount of the estimated
$163,000.00 carry forward has been updated. The new estimated total carry
forward is $219,000. Discussion ensued.
Ms. Lombard asked for an increase in the travel budget for travel to the Boston and
New York travel shows (Martin County has committed to partner with St. Lucie
County in order to split the booth cost for both shows). Travel budget was $3000.00.
Michelle Valvano made motion to increase travel budget to $5000.00. Marilyn
Minix seconded motion. Motion passed unanimously.
Tom Colucci, TCSC mentioned that their sporting events brought in 1210 rooms in
St. Lucie County.
6.Equestrian Committee Presentation
Thea Bullard gave PowerPoint presentation on the economic impact that Equestrian
events could have in St. Lucie County. Discussion ensued.

7. Steam Locomotive Association 253
Betty Jean Andrianoff gave a PowerPoint presentation on the Steam Locomotive
#253. Discussion ensued.
8. Tour Opportunities for SLC Art in Public Places
Jack Connelly asked TDC permission to form a committee for the art tour
opportunities in St. Lucie County. Discussion ensued.
9. General Public Comments
Pat Simmons of Little Feat talked about bringing music festivals to St. Lucie County.
Discussion ensued.
Paul Schall talked about the advantages of a Sister City Partnership Exchange with
Germany.
10. ADJOURNMENT
