FORT PIERCE HARBOR ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Meeting Held On
July 8, 2010
Convened at 3:00 p.m. Adjourned at 3:50 p.m.
This meeting of the Fort Pierce Harbor Advisory Committee (FPHAC) was held Thursday, July
8, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. in the Engineering Conference Room in the Administration Building, 2300
Virginia Avenue, Fort Pierce, Florida.
ROLL CALL
Roll call was taken.
Members Present:
Mary Chapman, Chair
Gerald Kuklinski, Vice Chair
Pieter Stryker
Bill Theiss (FPUA)
David Sousa
Members Absent:
George Jones, Indian Riverkeeper
Ed Becht, City of Fort Pierce Commissioner
Chris Cooper, Port St. Lucie City Councilman
Also Present:
Heather Young, Assistant County Attorney
Guest Speaker: Warren Falls, ORCA
GUEST SPEAKER:
Warren Falls, from ORCA gave a presentation on the Gulf Oil Spill, along with a handout about
the ORCA Organization.
APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES:
The minutes from the June 10, 2010 meeting were unanimously approved.
OLD BUSINESS:
Report on Vessels: Barge has been removed per Mr. Kuklinski. Members were given a report
from Katherine McKenzie-Smith, Assistant County Attorney concerning the Barges.

NEW BUSINESS:
Mr. Kuklinski asked Madame Chair to look into getting a report on Sea Grasses at Berth One
at the Port.
The City of Fort Pierce is looking into a Grant for Florida Sea Ports.
Madame Chair asked Members to consider a new day to meet as some members are
scheduled at other meetings at this time. Staff will send out e-mail asking Members for
suggestions.
ADJOURNMENT:
At 3:50 p.m. the meeting was adjourned. The next meeting will be held Thursday, August 12,
