Method of Determining Historic Designatior`~ 29 ~ 30 Ms. Wood summa`Fized that the typical process for°getting a historic property designated is 31 to have a consultant conduct a survey of possil~~historic properties in a given area and by 32 determining historic districts to be placed an the Florida Master Site File that is maintained 33 by the State. Once properties have been determined to have historic significance the 34 Historic Commission v~ould then work vuith the property owner in order to get the property 35 designated on the local register. It is possible for the Board of County Commissioners to 36 designate~a property without consent from the owner, but this might not be an action the 37 Board would be willing to take' 38 39 4.
