PUBLIC HEARING ANNOUNCEMENT
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District Four, will conduct a public hearing for the
subject project on May 1, 2012 at the Indian River State College, located at 3209 Virginia Avenue, Fort
Pierce, FL 34981. The public hearing will begin as an open house at 5:30 pm with a formal presentation
at 6:00 pm followed by a public comment period.
This Public Hearing is being conducted to give interested persons an opportunity to express their views
concerning the location, conceptual design, and social, economic, and environmental effects of the
proposed improvements. A copy of the project display notice which includes a location map for the
hearing, project limits and other important information about the hearing is enclosed. Similar notices are
being sent to all property owners located within at least 300 feet on either side of the proposed facility
and to other public officials, organizations, and individuals interested in the project.

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District Four, has scheduled a
Public Hearing for the Kings Highway (SR 713) Project Development and Environment
(PD&E) Study from Okeechobee Road (SR 70) north to US 1 (SR 5) in St. Lucie
County, Florida. Kings Highway will be reclassified as a four-lane divided roadway to
access management
class 3 per Florida
Statute 335.18.
The hearing will be
held on Tuesday,
May 1, 2012
at the Indian River
State College,
located at 3209
Virginia Avenue,
Fort Pierce, Florida.
The hearing will be
conducted with an
open house from
5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
followed by a formal
presentation at 6:00 p.m.
