CALL TO ORDER: Commissioner Dzadovsky called the meeting to order at 1:34 PM. 2. ROLL CALL: Jennifer Garrity called roll. 3. SELF INTRODUCTION OF GUESTS: Attending guests identified themselves. 4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES The minutes from July 11, 2012 were approved. Tourist Development Council Meeting 0 August 8, 2012 5. FINANCIAL REPORT & WEB REPORT Jennifer Garrity reported that June 2012 revenue was up 8% compared to June 2011. Year to date revenue is up 11 %. Jennifer Garrity provided the TDC with a report on the activity of the St. Lucie County Tourism web site. Website activity report attached. 6. UPDATE FROM TREASURE COAST SPORTS COMMISSION Item moved to other business due to late arrival of representation. 7. NEW TOURISM AND VENUES DIVISION FOR SLC PARKS, RECREATION, & FACILITIES Commissioner Dzadovsky spoke about the recent merge of Parks, Recreation, & Facilities with Tourism. The new division is called Tourism and Venues, which will oversee and promote the Fenn Center and Fairgrounds. 8. OTHER BUSINESS Tom Colucci gave an update on the possibility of future sporting events taking place in St. Lucie County. 9. PUBLIC COMMENT Ray Nau gave a brief update on the happenings at the Melbourne International Airport. Laura O'Brien spoke about the recent convention shows attended by the Port St. Lucie Civic Center's staff. Anne Satterlee thanked the TDC for its support of the Fort Pierce Authentic Tours and the co-op advertising opportunities. Commissioner Dzadovsky mentioned the recent addition of the Indian River Lagoon Boat Tours at Museum Pointe Park. Jon Ward mentioned his support for the Backus Gallery & Museum. 10.
