Chairman Hayek opied'4he discussion by sharing with the Commission some of his past
work experiences With Ms. Leslie Olson, the new Planning Manager and Historic
Preservation Officer for St. Lucie County.
Further discussion ensued, which lead to the members asking Ms. Olson about her role and
plans as the new Historic Preservation Officer and if the County had given her direction on
what Historic Preservation efforts they would like to see initiated in St. Lucie County.
She explained that the County had not given her specific directions, but she felt that focus
on identifying benefits and determining problems that might arise from White City being
designated as a historic district would be a great start. She also suggested that the

their thoughts were on White City being designated a historic district.
B. White City Historic District
At the last meeting it was noted that Mr. Heffelfinger would meet with the White City
Improvement Club, Board of Directors and present his findings to the rest of the Historical
Commission members. However, Mr. Heffelfinger was unable to attend today's meeting;
therefore, his findings was not available. ,_
Ms. Olson stated that she would draft a letter to make
