The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District Four, has scheduled an
Elected Officials/Agencies Kick-off Meeting and Public Kick-off Meeting to discuss the
Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study for Port St. Lucie Boulevard
between Becker Road and Darwin Boulevard in St. Lucie County, Florida. The study will
consider roadway, bicycle and pedestrian improvements and transit needs within the
study area.
The Elected Officials/Agencies Kick-off Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October
29, 2013, from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at the St. Lucie Transportation Planning Organization
located at 466 SW Port St. Lucie Boulevard, Port St. Lucie, FL 34953.
This Elected Officials/Agencies Kick-off Meeting is an opportunity for elected officials
and agency representatives to discuss the social, environmental and economic effects
of the potential improvements. The meeting format will include a short presentation
providing an overview of the potential improvements and anticipated issues, followed by
a question and answer session. Similar notices have been sent to other public officials
and agencies interested in the project.
The Public Kick-off Meeting is scheduled on the same day and location as the Elected
Officials/Agencies Kick-off Meeting, but will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. This meeting

will be held in an informal, open house format with a brief presentation at 6:00 PM. This
meeting will provide an opportunity for the public to learn about the project, become
familiar with the study process, and provide initial feedback.
