Commissioner Dzadovsky VISION STATEMENT By 2017, the St. Lucie County Tourist Development Council will provide a greater impact in promoting St. Lucie as a top Florida destination for Eco/Adventure/Agri Tourism; amateur/professional sports; and other known assets, allowing for increased overnight stays. ROLL CALL: Susan Bellamy called roll. 3. SELF INTRODUCTION OF GUESTS: Attending guests identified themselves. 4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: The minutes from December 11, 2013 were approved Tourist Development Council Meeting 0 January 8, 2014 No public comment made at this time. 6. FINANCIAL REPORT & WEB REPORT: Charlotte Bireley reported that November 2013 revenue was up 23.5% compared to November 2012. Year to date revenue is up 25%. Charlotte Bireley presented the Monthly Expenses vs. Revenue Comparison Report for Fiscal Year 2012, 2013, and up to November 2014. Report attached. Charlotte Bireley provided the TDC with a report on the activity of the St. Lucie County Tourism web site. Website activity report attached. 7. FORT PIERCE HISTORIC TROLLEY TOURS: Sue Dannahower presented the Fort Pierce Historic Trolley Tours. Presentation attached. 8. WEBSITE SEARCH ENGINE ADDITIONS PROPOSAL: Charlotte Bireley presents the St. Lucie County Tourism Website Search Engine Enhancements proposal. Conversation ensued. Michelle MacNichol suggests hotels to help with funding for the Website enhancements. Charlotte Bireley mentions possible co-op with the hotels. Proposal attached. 9. OTHER BUSINESS: Charlotte Bireley presents new 2014 St. Lucie Travel Guides. Charlotte Bireley discussed Vinny-Ball to be here in February through April and requested the hotels to hand out St. Lucie Travel Guides to the ball players. 10. PUBLIC COMMENT: Chris Egan mentioned the Art Show to be held on Saturday and Sunday. Commissioner Dzadovsky spoke of the Oyster Fest coming up. Commissioner Dzadovsky discussed the tour of the UDT SEAL Museum on Friday for 12 WWII Veterans. 11. ADJOURNMENT: Meeting adjourned at 2:32 PM.
