Ocean Drive Unit 1033 Jensen Beach, FL 34957 Dear Mr. Laprade: Please know a wind load analysis was completed for the following: 1. Two sliding glass doors,NOA 14-0128.11 by PGT Industries, Series 770, Aluminum SGD with reinforcements, glass Type 4 or 4A,with minimum sill riser of 3.25"and Large and Small Missile Impact rated.Allowable Design pressure of+/-82.5 psf; Using the ASCE?-10 to calculate the applied wind loads for the sliding glass door replacements, the following parameters were used: Window& Sliding Glass Doors height less than 90 feet; Exposure D; Wind speed 170 mph; Enclosed Structure; Category II, Wind Zones 4 & 5; When taking into account the external and internal pressure coefficients and adjustments per the ASCE?-10,the resulting and governing and most severe applied wind pressure comes to+58.4 psf/-77.7 psf. With all systems installed per the above noted NOA,the allowable pressures all exceed the applied wind loads in this application, and is therefore acceptable to this office.
