In accordance with the new Florida Energy Code,the following changes and requirements for new construction and replacement windows, doors and skylights are listed below. Mobile homes are not required to meet the requirements of the 54h Edithion of the Flodida Eneray Code. • Windows and Doors will be required to meet the Wactor, Solar Heat Gain Coefficient(SHGC)required in section 402 of the 51h Edition of the Florida Energy Code for climate zone 2. Opaque doors up to 24 sq. foot are exempt Per R402.3.4 of the 5h Edition of the Florida Energy Code. All labels showing manufactures U- Factor Rating and Solar Heat Gain.Coefficient will be required to be.left on windows and doors until window/door inspection is completed.
