SCOPE:
This NOA is being issued under the applicable rules and regulations governing the use of construction materials. The
documentation submitted has been reviewed and accepted by Miami-Dade County RER-Product Control Section to be
used in Miami Dade County and other areas where allowed by the Authority Having Jurisdiction(AHJ).
This NOA shall not be valid after the expiration date stated below.The Miami-Dade County Product Control Section
(In Miami Dade County)and/or the AHJ(in areas other than Miami Dade County)reserve the right to have this
product or material tested for quality assurance purposes.If this product or material fails to perform in the accepted
manner,the manufacturer will incur the expense of such testing and the AHJ may immediately revoke,modify,or
suspend the use of such product or material within their jurisdiction. RER reserves the right to revoke this acceptance,
if it is determined by Miami-Dade County Product Control Section that this product or material fails to meet the
requirements of the applicable building code.
This product is approved as described herein, and has been designed to comply with the Florida Building Code
including the High Velocity Hurricane Zone of the Florida.Building Code.
DESCRIPTION: Tarco Synthetic Underlayments
LABELING: Each unit shall bear a permanent label with the manufacturer's name or logo,city, state and following
statement: "Miami-Dade County Product Control Approved",unless otherwise noted herein.
RENEWAL of this NOA shall be considered after a renewal application has been filed and there has been no change
in the applicable building code negatively affecting the performance of this product.
TERMINATION of this NOA will occur after the expiration date or if there has been a revision or change in the
materials,use, and/or manufacture of the product or process.Misuse of this NOA as an endorsement of any product,
for sales,advertising or any other purposes shall automatically terminate this NOA. Failure to comply with any section
of this NOA shall be cause for termination and removal of NOA.
ADVERTISEMENT: The NOA number preceded by the words Miami-Dade County, Florida, and followed
by the expiration date may be displayed in advertising literature. If any portion of the NOA is displayed, then
it shall be done in its entirety.
INSPECTION: A copy of this entire NOA shall be provided to the user by the manufacturer or its distributors and
shall be available for inspection at the job site at the request of the Building Official.
This NOA consists of pages 1 through 5.

with prescribed approved adhesives,fasteners and fastener densities, as described in this Notice of Acceptance;
designed to comply with the Florida Building Code, including the High Velocity Hurricane Zone of the Florida
Building Code.

INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS:
1. LeakBarrier®EasyLay®UDL Basic&LeakBarrier®EasyLay®UDL 50 shall be installed in strict compliance
with applicable Building Codes.
2. Observe and comply with Occupational Safety and Health Administration(OSHA)safety standards when
installing LeakBarrier®EasyLay®UDL Basic&LeakBarrier®EasyLay®UDL 50; use common sense
measures and adequate safety precautions to prevent accidents.
3. LeakBarrier®EasyLay®UDL Basic&LeakBarrier®EasyLay®UDL 50 shall be acceptable for use with
asphaltic shingles,wood shakes and shingles,quarry slate, and metal roofing assemblies.
4 Place a full width piece of LeakBarrier®EasyLay®UDL Basic&LeakBarrier®EasyLay®UDL 50 parallel to
the eave(low)edge of the roof.
5. Unroll the material 2 to 3 feet,with the lay lines facing up,and position the end of it to the edge of the eave and
rake.
6. Install a few fasteners in the center of sheet, and roll out the sheet to a manageable length. Ensure to pull,
straighten and align the underlayment to eliminate any wrinkles and set even with the eave edge.
7. LeakBarrier®EasyLay®UDL Basic.&LeakBarrier®EasyLay®UDL 50 shall be fastened with approved
roofing nails and tin caps or approved cap nails, spaced 6"o.c. at all laps and three staggered rows fastened 12"
o.c. in the field of the sheet.
Note:Nails shall be applied in a manner so that the head of the nail is flush with the surface of the sheet without
cutting into the sheet.
8. Fastening shall be done from the top to avoid walking or kneeling on unsecured sheet.
9. Align the next sheet over the preceding sheet so as to form a minimum 4"side lap and 8"end lap. Overlaying
sheet to be fastened as instructed above. Install such that the bottom of the second course is over the top of the
first course to allow any water to flow over the underlayment.
10. Stagger the end laps a minimum of 36"from the preceding course.

11. Install LeakBarrier®EasyLay®UDL Basic&LeakBarrier®EasyLay®UDL 50 a minimum of 6"up any
vertical surfaces.
12. LeakBarrier®EasyLay®UDL Basic&LeakBarrier&EasyLay®UDL 50 used in the valley areas must be
covered with code prescribed metal or other approved valley lining material.
13. Seams or joints that require adhesive or sealant can be treated with an approved SBS trowel grade modified
flashing cement/adhesive.
14. Prime all metal collars, flashing,valleys, liner and drip edge with ASTM D 41 primer,water based acrylic or
water based polymer modified primer,when required by building code or when adhering an approved self
adhered membrane to the LeakBarrier®EasyLay®UDL Basic&LeakBarrier®EasyLay®UDL 50.
15. Flash vent pipes, stacks,chimneys and penetrations in compliance with applicable codes.
GENERAL LIMITATIONS:
1. Fire classification is not part of this acceptance; refer to a current Approved Roofing Materials Directory for fire
ratings of this product.
2. This acceptance is for prepared roofing applications. Minimum deck requirements shall be in compliance with
applicable building code.
3. LeakBarrier® EasyLay®UDL Basic&LeakBarrier®EasyLay®UDL 50 shall be applied to a smooth, clean and
dry surface'with deck free of irregularities. All nails in the deck shall be carefully checked for protruding heads.
Re-fasten any loose decking panels. Sweep the deck thoroughly to remove any dust and debris prior to
application.
4. LeakBarrier® EasyLay® UDL Basic & LeakBarrier® EasyLay® UDL 50 shall not be torched or hot mopped,
refer to manufacturer's published literature for product compatibility.
5.. LeakBarrier® EasyLay® UDL Basic & LeakBarrier® EasyLay® UDL 50 shall not be left exposed if used on
slopes less than 2:12. In general, on slopes less than 4:12, a double layer of LeakBarrier®EasyLay®UDL Basic
&LeakBarrier®EasyLay®UDL 50 is recommended.
Double layer application is to be achieved by using 26" side laps, making sure the side laps are "shingled in"to
shed water.
6. Maintaining proper ventilation is the roof system is required when installing LeakBarrier®EasyLay®UDL Basic
&LeakBarrierR EasyLay®UDL 50.
7. LeakBarrier®EasyLay®UDL Basic&LeakBarrier®EasyLay®UDL 50 shall not be left exposed as a temporary
roof for longer than 180 days of application.
8. LeakBarrier® EasyLay® UDL Basic & LeakBarrier® EasyLay® UDL 50 is a component used in roof system
assemblies. Roof system assemblies are approved under a specific Notice of Acceptance. Refer to Prepared
Roofing system Product Control Notice of Acceptance for listed approval of this product with specific prepared
roofing products.
9. LeakBarrier® EasyLay® UDL Basic & LeakBarrier® EasyLay® UDL 50 may be used with any approved roof
covering Notice of Acceptance listing LeakBarrier® EasyLay® UDL Basic & LeakBarrier® EasyLay® UDL 50
or the ASTM standard which the underlayments meet as a component part of an assembly in the Notice of
Acceptance. If LeakBarrier®EasyLay®UDL Basic&LeakBarrier®EasyLay®.UDL 50 or the ASTM standards
are not listed; a request may be made to the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) or the Miami-Dade County
Product Control Department .for approval provided that appropriate documentation is provided to detail
compatibility of the products,wind uplift resistance, and fire testing results.

BUILDING PERMIT REQUIREMENTS:
Application for building permit shall be accompanied by copies of the following:
1. This Notice of Acceptance.
2. Any other documents required by the Building Official or applicable building code in order to properly evaluate
the installation of these materials.
LABELING:
All membranes or packaging shall bear the imprint or identifiable marking of the manufacturer's name or logo, city,
state and the following statement: "Miami-Dade County Product Control Approved" or the Miami-Dade County
Product Control Seal as shown below.
