Approval, Department of Business&Professional Regulation.

Limitations: 1'I
1. This product has been evaluated and is in compliance with the 5th Edition(2014)Florida Building Code(FBC)structural requirements
including the"High Velocity Hurricane Zone"(HVHZ). `
2. Product anchors shall be as listed and spaced as shown on details.Anchor embedment to'base material shall be beyond wall dressing
or stucco.
3. When used in the"HVHZ"this product is required to be protected with an impact resistant covering that complies with Section 1626 of
the FBG. I'
4. When used in areas outside of the"HVHZ"requiring wind borne debris protection this product is required to be protected with an
impact resistant covering that complies with Section 1609.1.2 of the FBC. f
5. For 2x stud framing construction,anchoring of these units shall be the same as that shown for 2x buck masonry construction.
6. Site conditions that deviate from the details of drawing FL-15255.10 require further engineering analysis by a licensed engineer or
registered architect.

7. Outswing configurations using threshold item#25 meet water infiltration requirements for"HVHZ".

Limits of Use:

1. This product has been evaluated and is in compliance with the' t Florida Building Code,
excluding the"High Velocity Hurricane Zone" (HVHZ).
2. Product anchors shall be as listed and spaced as shown on detalils. Anchor embedment into
substrate material shall be beyond wall dressing or stucco. 1'1
3. When used in areas requiring wind borne debris protection this product complies with
Section 1609.1.2 of the current Florida Building Code and does;!require an impact resistant
covering.
4. Site conditions that deviate from the details of drawing NCTL 210-3576-3 require further
engineering analysis by a licensed engineer or registered architect.

Installation: 1. Approved anchor types and substrates areas follows:
Through Frame Installation:
A. For two by(2X)wood frame substrate (Min.S.G.=0.42), use jtwo (2)#10 Pan Head Wood
Screw type wood frame anchors per location of sufficient length to achieve minimum
embedment of 1.50" into wood framing.

B. For concrete (Min.f'c=3000 psi)or masonry substrate (CMIU shall adhere to ASTM C90)
substrate where one by(1X), non-structural,wood bucking i5 employed, use two (2)
3/16"diameter ITW Tapcon type concrete screw anchors per location of sufficient
length to achieve minimum embedment of 1.25" into concrete or masonry.
C. For concrete (Min.f'c=3000 psi)or masonry substrate(CMU shall adhere to ASTM C90)
substrate where wood bucking is NOT employed, use two (2;)3/16"diameter ITW
Tapcon type concrete screw anchors per location o!f sufficie'int length to achieve
minimum embedment of 1.25" into concrete or masonry.
D. For steel substrate(Min. 18 ga.steel, min.f„=33 ksi),uset o(2)#10 TEK Screw type
steel stud anchors per location of sufficient length to achieve minimum 3 threads
penetration beyond steel structure.
Nail Fin Installation:
A. For two by(2X)wood frame substrate(Min.S.G.=0.42),thel p ailing fin may only be used
in conjunction with through frame anchors.When the naili l'g fin is used,two (2)through
frame#10 Pan Head Wood Screw type wood frame anchors are still required at each
location. For the nail fin use#10 Pan Head Wood Screw type wood frame anchors of
sufficient length to achieve minimum embedment of 1.50"into wood framing.

Limitations:
1. This product has been evaluated and is in compliance with the 5th Edition(2014)Florida Building Code(FBC)structural requirements
including the"High Velocity Hurricane Zone"(HVHZ).
2. Product anchors shall be as listed and spaced as shown on details.Anchor embedment to base material shall be beyond wall dressing
or stucco.
3. When used in the"HVHZ"this product is required to be protected with an impact resistant,covering that complies with Section 1626 of
the FBC.
4. When used in areas outside of the'HVHZ"requiring wind borne debris protection this product is required to be protected with an
impact resistant covering that complies with Section 1609.1.2 of the FBC. 1"
5. For 2x stud framing construction,anchoring of these units shall be the same as that shown for 2x buck masonry construction.
6. Site conditions that deviate from the details of drawing FL-15255.9 require further engineering'janalysis by a licensed engineer or
registered architect.
7. Outswing configurations using threshold item#25 meet water infiltration requirements for'HVHZ". 'j
8. inswing configurations and outswing configurations using threshold#27 do not meet the water infiltration requirements for the"HVHZ"
and shall be installed only in non-habitable areas or at habitable locations protected by an!overhanglor canopy such that the angle
between the edge of canopy or overhang to sill is less than 45 degrees.
