Convened at 3:00 p.m. Adjourned at 4:20 p.m.
This meeting of the Fort Pierce Harbor Advisory Committee (FPHAC) was held Wednesday
April 20, 2916 at 3:00 p.m. in the 3rd Floor Conference Room in the Administration Building,
2300 Virginia Avenue, Fort Pierce, Florida.
ROLL CALL
Roll call was taken. Quorum was present. Minutes from the January 20, 2016 meeting were
approved.

PUBLIC COMMENTS: Carol Mushier thanked Don West for coming to the annual South Beach
meeting and giving a presentation to the group.
Gwen Morris discussed a news article concerning wages for longshoremen, and asked the
committee members to have empathy for the job situation at the port.
OLD BUSINESS: Members updated Resolution #12-082, Vice Chair Brad Currie approved,
Mayor Linda Hudson 2nd.
NEW BUSINESS: Don introduced Kyle Croce as the new Port Engineer, Kyle gave members a
brief narrative of his career.
Kyle gave a powerpoint update of the 2nd Street Improvement Project.
There was a discussion on the dewatering permit.
James gave a powerpoint update on Wesley’s Island. Members discussed on maintenance (exotic
removal) on Coon and Wesley’s Island.
STAFF COMMENTS: Joint meeting will be about 2nd Street and Fisherman’s Wharf.
COMMITTEE COMMENTS: Members asked for the Wesley’s Island presentation to be sent to
them.
ADJOURNMENT:
At 4:15 p.m., the meeting adjourned. The next scheduled meeting is Wednesday July 20th at
3:00 pm, in the in the Third Floor Conference Room.
