I’m sending this to you for whenever there is another Historical Commission meeting.
I received a call from Jeanne Hearn expressing interest in designating Tozour Road as an historic road since it was the old
alignment of US1. She is not so much interested in the designation as an official measure, but more for public
information, such as placing a sign on the roadway or at the entrance to the Savannah Preserve, and maybe a summary
in the environmental brochure for the preserve. I thought this would be a good discussion item for the Historical
Commission and that perhaps one of them would be willing to do some research and write up a summary that could be
used for a sign or brochure.
