I have enclosed a copy of our "Resource Protection Standards" from our St. Lucie County Land Development Code regarding your questions on natural vegetation removal. The height restrictions for a fence in residential zoning are no higher than 4 feet in the required front yard and no higher than 6 feet in any other required yard. The Florida Department of Environmental Protection in Tallahassee must be contacted for construction east of the Coastal Barrier Construction Line.
