WHEREAS, the St. Lucie County Planning and Zoning Commission
after holding a pUblic hearing of which due notice was published
at least fifteen~ (15) days prior to said hearing and all property
owners within 300 feet were notified by mail of said hearing has
recommended to the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie
County that the hereinafter described request for a change in
zoning classification be GRANTED, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners held a public hearing
on September 13, 1977 after first publishing no%ice of said hearing
in the News Tribune on August 19~ 1977.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commis-
sioners of St. Lucie County, Florida in meeting assembled this 13th
day of September, 1977 as follows:
1. That the zoning of the following described property in st.
Lucie County, Florida, to-wit:

ST. LUCIE BUSINESS ASSOCIATES, INC. (R-lC and B-2 to B-3)
Existing Land Use:
Land uses adjacent to the proposed rezoning are
primarily commercial in nature, ranging from
personal and business services to heavy commer-
cial. There is also scattered low density resi-
dential development to the' northwest of this
parcel adjacent to South Market Avenue. Land
immediately to the south of the proposed rezoning
is Primarily vacant.
Future Land Use: Commercial and light 'manufacturing.
COMMENTS:
The proposed rezoning does not appear to be inconsistent with
future land use plans for the area. In fact, if granted, the
rezoning will deepen existing shallow strip commercial zon?ng
adjacent to U. S. 1.

Mr Mr. Paul Hargarten, President of St. Lucie Business Associates,
Inc., d/b/a Super Skate Roller Rink, was present as ~epr~e'senia~ive.
He stated the surrounding areas are zoned B-2 and B-3. Also, in order
to expand the existing skating rink and~ provide parking for same in
the future, the additional parcel would be needed.
It was stated Messrs. John Hoag and Charles Sullivan have letters
on file in favor of the petition.
There was no one present to oppose the petition.
Moved by Mr. Tiernan and seconded~ by. Mr. Moore to recommend
approval of the petition to the Board of County Commissioners. The
vote was polled and carried unanimously.
