LUCIE COUNT~, FLORIDA W~EREAS, the 'Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has made the following determinations: 1. The Board of County Commissioners presented a. petition for a change in zoning from CG (Commercial, General) and AR-1 (Agricultural, Residential - 1) to IX (Industrial, Extraction) for the property described below. 2. The St. Lucie County Planning and Zoning Commission, after holding a public hearing of which due notice was published at least thirty (30) days prior to said hearing and all owners of property within three hundred feet (300') were notified by mail of said hearing, has recommended that the Board grant the hereinafter described request for change in zoning classification from CG (Commercial, General) and AR-1 (Agricultural, Residential - 1) to IX (Industrial, Extraction) for the property described below° 2. The Board held a public hearing on September 25, 1984, after publishing a notice of said hearing in the Port Pierce News Tribune on September 11, 1984. The present zoning is not consistant with what the land is being used for and this petition is an attempt to legalizethe existing sand mine. IX zoning is considered to be compatible with any GMPP classification A motion was made by Mrs. King to approve the petition, it was seconded by Mrs. Fawsett and approved by the Board.
