To the northwest is an area of about O-8 acres zoned R-2 with two (2) duplexes. Future Land Use: Low Density Residential. COMMENTS: The proposed future land Use for the City of Fort Pierce immediately to. the east is also Low Density Res%~entiat. The existing density in the areas zoned R-2 is five (5) ~we}ling un, ts/acre which is con- sistent with the future Low Densi~ Residential proposal in the county. Consideration of rezoning to R-4ANo'uld be consistent with proposed future land use of Low Density Residential and with exist~ ing land use in the area. Mr. Selph ,was present and stated that he wished to build duplexes on the property. His son, James, added that it was near the college, and that college students often times have a problem finding housing. A letter from Mrs. Emma Cooper, adjacent property owner, was read, indi- cating that she was in favor of the rezonmng. There was no opposition to the petition. Mr. Ament's comments were read into the public record by the Chairman. Motion by Mr. McIver and second by Mr. Tiernan, to approve the petition. The Board was polled and the motion passed unanimously.
