LUCIE COUNTY, FLORIDA Commissioners court - St. Lucie County BOOK O 8 _.~-5 PAGE 1 : - OF CERTAIN of St. Lucie · the Board of County y, Florida, has made the following determinations: First Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, Inc. presented a petition for a change in zoning from I (Institutional) to RS-4 (Residential, Single Family, 4 du/ac) for the property described in Section A below. On June 25,1993, the St. Lucie County Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing on the petition after publishing notice of such hearing in the Port St. Lucie News and notifying by mail all owners of property within 500 feet of the subject property at least 15 days prior to the hearing. At that public hearing, the Planning and zoning Commission recommended that the Board approve the requested change in zoning from I to RS-4. On July 27, 1993, this Board held a public hearing on the petition, after publishing notice of such hearing in the Port St. Lucie News and notifying by mail all owners of property within 500 feet of the subject property at least 15 days prior to the hearing. He stated that the petitioner is requesting a change in zoning of approximately nine acres on the northeast corner of Juanita Avenue and North 41st Street, from I (Institutional) to RS-4 (Residential, Single Family, 4 du/ac) in order to construct. 26 homes in a single family home subdivision. He stated that the surrounding zoning is compatible with the RS-4 zoning. Water servic~ will be provided by Fort Pierce Utilities. He asked Ms. Hall'if the people that had signed her petition had understood that the present zoning of Institutional would'allow the uses he had just mentioned. 10 Ms. Hall stated that she and her neighbors had not understood the present zoning. They were concerned with the low income houses. Chairman Klein stated that he just wanted to make sure those residents that had signed the petition had understood.the uses that could be allowed in the present zoning.
