A RESOLUTION AMENDING TIlE FUTURE LAND USE
CLASSIFICATION OF THE GROWTH MANAGEMENT POLICY PLAN
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie
County, Florida, has made the following determination~-
1. The St. Lucie County Planning and Zoning Commission,
after holding a public hearing of which due notice was published
at least thirty (30) days prior to said hearing and all owners
of property within three hundred feet (300') were notified by
mail of said hearing, has recommended that the Board grant the
hereinafter described request for changes in the Future Land
Use Classification set forth in the StJ Lucie County Growth
Man'agement Policy Plan.
2. The Board held a public hearing on June 14, 1983, which
.was continued to June 21, 1983, after_publishing a notice of
said hearing in the Fort Pierce News Tribune on May 12, 1983.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of St. Lucie County,'Florida-
A. The Future Land Use Classification set forth in the
St. Lucie County Growth Management Policy Plan for that
property described as follows:
The east 125 feet of the south 132
feet of the east one-half of the
southeast one-quarter of the south- ._.
, west one-quarter of the southeast
one-quarter of Section 19, Township
35 South, Range 40 East, less Canal
39 and less road right-of-way
owned by MArC M. BALL, be, and the same is hereby, changed
from RL (low density-.residential development) to RM (medium
density residential development).
B. The St. Lucie County Development Coordinator is hereby
authorized and directed to cause the changes to be made in the
Growth Management Policy Plan.

This matter'was tabled from meeting of June 14, 1983. petition to amend
GMPP from RL (low density residential development) to RM (medium density
residential development) for property located on Yates Rd., between Kirby Loop
Road and Canal ~39, west of 25th St.
Mrs. Carol Ball appeared on behalf of the petition and said she and her
husband would like to build a house on this property but it is a sub-standard
lot and would require a Plan amendment.
Mr. Ament said after the Commission meeting last week Mr. Ball told staff
~.__~a_d~a_.._l~_~_i~ati~n_g__~his was a~individual lot of record. ~-If he has
/%hat and an Amendmen~-~s gra~t~-dl-h~ could get a building permit without a
Variance from the zoning regulations. Mrs. Ball said they have the letter but
she did not bring it with her.
Moved by Com. Green,. seconded by Com. Fenn to adopt Res. 83-88 granting
he Amendment. Upon roll call the vote was polled as follows: Ayes: Fenn,
reen, Trefelner and Palmer. Nay: Snyder.

.Mr. Ball said he had purchased the property approximately two months
ago and had been told,'by the realtor-, he could build a home on it but when
he went to get a permit he was told it would be necessary to appear before
this Board before he could build.,
Mrs. Fawsett asked if the property was not zoned for single family
dwellings and Mr. Ament said yes, but it is a sub-standard lot and would
require a plan amendment.
A~otion was made by Mrs. Fawsett to approve the petition, it was
seconded by Mr. Scott and upon vote unanimously approve by the Board.
The petition willl be recommended to the Board of County Commissioners
for approval.

If you no longer own property adjacent to the abOve described
parcel, please forward this notice to the new owner. The

use classification in order to construct a single family
