Mr. Baldwin was present on behalf of the petition and explained that they had thought the property was zoned A-!. When they wanted to start construction of a machinery shop for their equipment, they discovered the zoning was R-!C. There was no opposition to the petition. There- fore, they are- requesting the change in zoning now. ~There was no opposition to the petition. COUNTY DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR'S COMMENTS: 9/22/77 (3) BALDWIN (R-lC to A-l) Existing Land Use: ~st 6f the proposed rezoning is a mixture of medium density residential development (mobile homes), general com~ercial'uses, and a few sCattered single family dwellings. Land to the south, north and west of the proposed rezoning is currently used for citrus or is vacant. Future Land Use: Medium density residential development and general commercial uses to the east of the proPosed rezoning adjacent to U. S. 1 with low density residential devel- opment and citrus in undeveloped areas north, south and west of the proposed rezoning. COMMENTS: The proposed rezoning is consistent With existing land use in the area and future land use plans for the area. Land immediately to the west.of the proposed rezoning is currently zoned A-I.
