WHEREAS, the St. LuCie County Planning and Zoning Commission, after
holding a public hearing of which due notice was published at least fifteen
(15) days prior to said hearing and all owners of property within 300 fee~
were notified by mail of said hearing, has recommended to the Board of Coun
Commissioners of St. ~ucie County that the hereinafter described requests fot[

E~sting Land Use: The propOsed rezoning is-currently either vacant or used
for Storage of what appear to be junk cars.
Future Land Use:
As proposed by the LPA, the proposed rezoning would be
consistent with a deepened future land use pattern of
highway commercial.
COMMENTS:
Between the proposed rezoning and U. S. l'is a mixture of low densit
residential, personal and business services, and general commercial.'
If the proposed rezoning is recommended'for approval, careful consid-
eration should be given to the condition of strictly limiting access
to U. S. 1 or, if possible, requiring construction of parallel acces:
roads when and if any redevelopment occurs. If development of this.-
parcel is not imminent, consideration might also be given to tabling
the proposed rezoning until~ such time as a Future Land Use Plan and
performance standards along with revised zoning are ~adopted.

Petition of Robert Griffith, John P. Stanton, and Frederick Kiesel, ~lso

Weatherbee Road, approximately 238 feet West of U. S. #1.
Mr. Santo Gibitisco was present, to represent The petitioner. He is ~ne
of the gentlement involved i~ acquiring the property. He stated that they
were considering a small shopping center or possibly some stores.
Mr. Paul Cheries asked how far south the rezoning would extend and
Scott answered approximately 344 feet. ~.Mr. Cheries then asked if this w,~uld
just deepen the already existing B-3 zoning and Mr. Scott replied that i'
would appear so.
Mr. Scott then read a letter from Mrs. Dorothy Bell, adjacent proper-y
owner, objecting to the rezoning.
Mr. Davis inquired as to why the extra depth was needed. Mr. Gibili:~co
was uncertain as to this and stated that he was just appearing as a stan~-in
for the petitioners. When asked if he would prefer that this petition be
tabled until one of the petitioners could be present, Mr. Gibilisco said/yes.
