~ Petition of Lorenzo W~alker for a change in zoning classifiaation,
from R-5MH (mobile home) to A-1 (agriculture) for a tract of land in
Section 3-35-39.
I~ The Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval of the
petition.
Mr. Walker and his attorney, Philip Nourse, present. Mr. Nourse
explained that they want'to use this property for a borrow pit for 1-95.
If this petition is granted'they will then go before the Board of Adjust-
ment for a Variance concerned with means of ingress and egress and then
apply for a mining permit. This parcel is entirely surrounded by land
owned by petitioner.
No one else was present to speak for or against the petition.
Moved by Eom;'McCain to adopt Resolution No.76-101 which grants
this petition, and the Welshans petition above, was seconded by Com.
Green and, upon roll call, unanimously carried.

The Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing 9/23/76.
Mr. Phillip Nourse, Attomney, represented Mr. Lorenzo Walker.
He stated the rezoning request is made in order to change the prop-
erty back to A-1 (agriculture) so the land can be sold to 1-95. He
stated this property is in the middle of a tract of land owned by
Mr. Walker and would not interfere with anyone else.
There were no objections to this petit'ion.
Mr. Skeffington asked Mr. Nourse if there was a proposed con-
tract with 1-95~, to which Mr. Nourse stated yes, it was all worked
out.
Mr. Gary Ament~ County Coordinator asked if this would be~'used
for the embankment, to which M~. Dick Helstrom stated that was his
unde rst an ding.
The Planning $ Zoning Board then Voted to recommend approval
of this petition to the Board of County Commissioners.
There were no surrounding property owners as that property
is all owned by Mr. Walker.

Mr. Phillip Nourse, Attorneys represented Mrl Lorenzo Walker. He
stated the rezoning 'request is made in order to change the property back
to A-t (agrieuiture) so the land can be sold to 1-95. This is in the
middl.e of a tract of land owned by Mr. Walker and will not interfere with
anybody else.
There were no objections to this petition.
Mr. Skeffington asked Mr. Nourse if there was a proposed contract
with 1-95~ to which Mr. Nourse replied yes, it is all worked out.
