Petition of Lloyd and Elizabeth Vonckx for a change from M-3 (manufacturing:
to A-1 (agriculture) for property located on the east side of FECRR along Old
Dixie Highway, north of Law's Fish Camp.
The Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval of an amended pe-
tition which is to rezone only the north 5 acres.
Mr. Vonckx was present and stated that he and his wife would like very much
to have the petition granted. Mrs. Vonckx stated that their son and his wife
would like to move to the area and live on the property which is why the rezon-
ing is requested. Upon a question from Com. Enns, Mr. Vonckx stated that the
amended petition (the north 5 acres only) is all that is needed since they plan
to build a house and will not use a mobile home as originally planned.
There was no opposition to the petition.
Moved by Com. McCain, seconded by Com. Park and, ~pon roll call, carried
unanimously, to adopt Res. No. 79-28 which grants the rezonin~ as amended~

Existing Land Use:
Future Land Use:
COMMENTS:
The proposed rezoning is primarily vacant with the
exception of one (1) single family dwelling located on
the site. To the west across the Fla. East Coast RR and
to the south are light manufacturing and heavy commercfa~
uses. Land'immediately adjacent to the north is currently
vacant..
Light Industrial
The proposed rezon~ng is consistent with future land use plans for
the area by virtue of the fact ~hat the requested rezoning to A-1
is significantly less permissive than proposed future land use.
