WHEREAS, the St. Lucie County Planning and Zoning
Commission, after holding a public hearing of which due
notice was published at least 15 days prior to said hearing
and all owners of property within 300 feet were notified
by mail of said hearing, has recommended to the Board of
County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, that the herein-
after described request for changes in zoning classification

Mr. Rat'Iiff appeared to represent himself, Mr. Abercrombie and
Mr. Smith~ He said they are requesting the zoning change to conform
with present land use. He said they raise animals_which.is allowed
by the land use plan and in the past other parcels have been rezoned
to agriculture in this area.
Mr. Ament's comments were as follows:

COMMENTS'
The proposed rezoning is consistent with applicable goals,
objectives and guidelines of the Growth Management Policy
Plan. The proposed rezoning encompasses approximately 5
acres. Prior to the adoption of the Growth Management
Policy Plan, a petition with a large number_ of signatures
was presented to the-County Commission requesting the
future-land use and-zoning designation ~or this area of
agriculture.
There was no opposition to the petition and on motion made by
Mr. Skeffington and seconded by Mrs. King, the petition was approved
unanimously by the Board. It will be recommended to the County
Commission for approval.
