A motion was made by Mr. Carman to approve this petition
based on the information heard on the previous petiti0n~
The motion was seconded by Mrs. Harris and was approved with
Mr. Carman, Mrs. Harris, Mr. Coulson, Mrs. Kin~, Mr. Sciturro,
Mr. U. B. Wetherington, Mr. Ralph Wetherington votinu for
the petition, Mrs. Fawsett and Mr. Davis voted in opposition
to the petition.
Mr. Sciturro advised the Board both petitions would be
recommended to the Board of County Commissioners for approval.

COMMENTS: The proposed GMPP amendment is a radical departure
from future land use plans in the area and existing
land use patterns in the area. There is more than
adequate land currently shown as Light Industrial and
zoned appropriately within two miles of this site%~ It
is also questionable whether an isolated location such
as this meets the industrial location requirements of
~ __ the Growth Management Policy Plan.
