Proof of publication presented for petition of Bob Fender for a change
from M-1 (industrial district) to B-4 (general business)for property located
between Temple Drive and Edwards Road on E. side of Oleander Ave., to enable
petitioner to put in a shopping center.
T~e-:Plan~L& zoning commission recommended approval of the petition.
Mr. George Powell, from Architect Dick Stebbins offic~was present'rep-
resenting the petitioners, and stated a 1'400 sq. ft. shopping center with 16
shops is proposed which he believed would upgrade the area.
Ga~f_.Ament advised that the project is consistent with the GMPP.
MoVed by Com. McCain to approve the petition hy Resolution No. 81-114,
was seconded by Com. Palmer, and upon roll call, unanimously carried.

PUBLIC HEARING
Petition of Bob Fender for a change in zoning from M-1 (industrial
district) to B-4 (general business) for property located between Temple
Drive and Edwards Road on the east side of Oleander Avenue.
Mr. Dick Stebbins represneted Mr. Fender and told the Board that the
property was located between the railroad track and the 7-11 store on
Oleander Avenue. Mr. Fender wants to put in a shopping center with 16
stores and approximately 14,000 square feet.
There was no opposition to the petition.
Mr. McIver made a motion to-approve the petition and it was seconded
by Mr. Tiernan. The vote was as follows: Ayes: Davis, Gotham, King,
McIver, Seiturro, Skeffington and Tiernan. Mr. Scott abstained from voting.
