WHEREAS, the St. Lucie County Planning and Zoning Commission
after holding a public hearing of which due notice was published
at least fifteen (15) days prior to said hearing and all property
owners within 300 feet were notified by mail of said hearing has
recommended to the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County
that the hereinafter described requests ~for changes in zoning classifi-
cation be GRANTED, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners held a public hearing
on September 27, 1977 after first'publishing notice of said hearing
in the News Tribune'on September 9, 1977. ~

FIRST BANK AND TRUST COMPANY OF BOCA RATON (A-1 to R-lC)
Existing Land Use:
The proposed rezoning is currently vacant. The land
to the northwest is also vacant with low density
residential development to the north in Beau Rivage.
Land immediately to the east of the proposed rezoning
in Martin County is also vacant at the present time.
Future Land Use: Low density residential.
CO~4ENTS:
The proposed rezoning encompassed approximately 10.9 acres.
Immediately-to the east in Martin County is an 8.7 acre
tract which is zoned for low density residential use. The
total tract of land in both counties contains approximately
19.6 acres. The petitioner proposes S2 homesites in both
Martin and St. Lucie Counties. The proposed rezoning is
consistent with existing land use in the area and future land
use plans.

The Planning & Zoning Commission held a public hearing on the petition
on Au.~:st 25~ 1977.

he stated contains approximately 20 acres, 12 or 13 of which are located in St.
Lucie County. There is access off Britt Road~ but theme will be roads in both
counties. They propose 32 one-half acre tracts for development, and they have
two plats filed~ one in each county and each showing the other h'a!f. They have
contacted the Depamtment of Enviromental Regulations and have been to work sessi
in both counties. Approval from St. Lucie' County Engineer has been obtained
except for a few small details.
There was no one present in opposition to the petition.
Mr. Skeffington asked' if General Devel'opment owns ;any land neat there.
Mr. Montgomery replied that he doubts they own that far south. Mr. Skeffington
then raised concern .~hat St. Lucie County residents be employed during construc-
tion. Mr. Montgomery stated that they will give the work to the lowest bidder.
