Public Hearing Notice 12/09/2009 Treasure Coast Hospice Service Center Proposed Variance Public Hearing Description Consider an application for a Variance from the provisions of Section 7.04.01(A) (Table 7-10) of the St. Lucie County LDC to allow for the construction of a three (3) story building with a maximum height of just under 47 feet which is approximately 7 feet greater than the 40 foot maximum building height allowed in the (I) Institutional Zoning District. Background The subject proposal is an accompaniment to an existing 15, 553 square foot hospice facility ap?proved under GM Order 06-009. On December 2, 2008 through Resolution No. 08-182 the BOCC granted a Conditional Use Permit to allow medical, health and social services and Major Site Plan approval for a 3 story building known as Hospice Service Center. The St. Lucie County Board of Adjustment has the power to authorize variances from the dimensional requirements in accordance with the provisions of Section 10.01.00, of the St. Lucie County Land Development Code. Therefore, County policy strongly encourages public input and comment at the public hearing.
