Senior Staff Assistant 29 30 . 31 32 Agenda Item #1 – Minutes of July 28, 2010 33 34 Mrs. Andrews motioned approval of the minutes. 35 Mr. Pancoast seconded, and the motion carried 3-0. 36 37 ANNOUNCEMENTS BOA Minutes Page 2 of 3 August 25, 2010 1 Mr. Harris stated Agenda Item #II BA-620104072 Spanish Lakes #1 has been 2 withdrawn by the petitioner, but asked anyone that would like to speak about the 3 petition to do so now. 4 5 Patricia I. Stumbaugh, a Spanish Lakes resident, stated she found an error 6 where the application stated there was no homeowners association but there is 7 one. She stated she appreciates what the Wynnes are doing and they are good 8 builders. Ms. Stumbaugh stated she was representing the seniors on fixed 9 incomes and they cannot afford the $800 house payment plus $500 for rent. She 10 stated that according to him their homes have reached the end of their 11 usefulness but so have their pocketbooks because they do not make much in 12 Social Security and are expected to retire in those homes. Ms. Stumbaugh stated 13 she has been to the office at least five times to check the documents. She asked 14 why aren’t they putting everything in at one time and then advertising the public 15 hearing since they have added to it. She believes the changes are unfair to the 16 current residents and stated her concern that the applicant told residents this 17 meeting was cancelled but since the document withdrawing the petition was not 18 stamped in, she was told the item may be heard. 19 20 Mr. Harris advised Ms. Stumbaugh the applicant will be re-advertising, and she 21 will have an opportunity to meet with staff to discuss her concerns. 22 23 Ms. Wood stated the file is constantly being compiled, and once we advertise a 24 public hearing the application is all put together, and there is opportunity for 25 public comment. She stated it is a constantly evolving process until the project is 26 approved or denied. 27 28 Mr. Johnson stated as part of the review they did discover the homeowners 29 association, and they will consult the County Attorney through their review. 30 31 Mr. Harris asked about a rezoning he heard about. 32 33 Mr. Johnson stated the zoning did change to RMH-5 in 1984. 34 35 Mr. Harris asked if they were familiar with the Mobile Home Act. 36 37 Ms. Smith stated she has dealt with it briefly, and if it comes into play they will be 38 involved in that. 39 BOA Minutes Page 3 of 3 August 25, 2010 1 Having no further business, the meeting adjourned at about 9:45 a.m.
